First, let me say that I greatly enjoy everything Mr. Lentinello writes for various Hemmings magazines, which I have been reading now for quite a few years.Second, this book probably deserves better rating if you are a member of audience that never read anything about classic cars before. It does tell you what cars, in what condition to buy and gives you some pointers where/how to find them. As the other review says, it is a great start in acquiring some knowledge on the topic. It just isn't very specific and really could be condensed on two to three pages.
I expected more details on all cars and whether they are a good buy from standpoint of being able to keep them alive with available parts, some price guidance, appraising and haggling. Kind of advice for DIY person, but Mr. Lentinello recommends outsourcing most of the work to professionals.
