What a convoluted plot! Too many red herrings, and too many characters, most of which were not fleshed out properly, and the reasons for their behaviour were explained by throw-away comments here and there. Blink, and you've missed it. A husband-and-wife detecting team take a cruise to get away from crime and end up on a busman's holiday, albeit on a luxury ship. Their romantic interludes were sandwiched between crises, and there was much concern about clothes (what was that all about?). Just not believable, even for a cozy mystery / murder.Product details

Characters so real I feel like I know them. Very entertaining can't put it down kind of stories in this Jesse Watson series. Loved them all.
You can never go wrong with Ann Mullen! No matter the story, it's never a waste of time. Full of fun mystery, and great characters! The author can't crank them out fast enough for me!
AM continues to be masterful in spinning her mystery tales. This one does not disappoint. The Blackhawks go on a cruise and the bodies begin to fall. The cruise turns into a nightmare of mayhem and murder. Jesse and Billy have their hands full. This is an excellent read for the genre.....ER
Jesse and Billy take a cruise on the Bella Constance which is an older and smaller cruise ship. They were just happy to celebrate their first anniversary. It turns out that Bella and Loukas Constance,owners of the ship have a job for the private detectives Jesse and Billy Blackhawk. Some people felt that some old revenges needed to be satisfied as well as murder. This was a typical Jesse Watson Blackhawk murder mystery-A good story .
Ms Mullen continues to keep me interested in this series. While on the Cruise ship Bella Constance, Billy and Jesse continue to do their best PI work. One mystery after another, for this fascinating couple to solve. I wouldn't mind going on this cruise ship and becoming friends with Billy and Jesse. Oops. I almost forgot. This is make believe. Ms Mullen still knows how to bring her characters to life! You should read Jesse Watson's Mysterys. Mystery and some humor.
Just finished this book and can't wait to read more! Jesse and Billy Blackhawk want to take a cruiser to get away from their busy lives as private detectives. On board the Bella Constance they meet the owners, Bella and Lukas Constance. It seems someone has threatened Lukas' life and it is to happen on the cruise! The story then introduces you to a cast of characters, some you will love and other you won't.
The story is fast paced and funny in places. I loved Bella and wished I had her as a friend!! Now I am going to buy all of Ann Mullen 's book and can't wait to read them!!!!!
fallen in love with Jesse and Billy, their families and friends. My one wish would be that a new book could be written in hours instead of weeks or months. I have read all of Ann's writings and have in fact become an Ann Mullen "junky."
GREAT read, fun, colorful, playful, and yet gripping. I could basically use the dictionary to it's fullest to describe the feelings reading this series of books...If you like mystery, humor, history and a lot of fun...pick one up and just read it....could be the second most fun thing of your day...
