This has been a very enjoyable series to read. I don’t like to read reviews that tell all about the story. To learn that read the synopsis or download a sample, then if you liked what you read, buy the book. To me a review is: (1) how well it was written, (2) How it flows from introduction to ending, (3) If it grabs your attention early, so that you cannot put it down, (4) if it has too many or too few romantic areas or is just right, (5) if it has enough mystery or suspense to make you read to the last work plus want more, and (6) how well it was edited, such as any glaring grammatical errors. This book hits the mark on each item and is highly recommended. This is the last book of the series that ended too soon. Maybe there will be more. Have read quite a few of books by Ms. Foster and give them all 5 stars. Great author.

Dash of Peril by Lori Foster is another in her latest series. All the gang from previous books are there, including Reece, Rowdy, Logan and now Logan's brother Dash. He is not in police enforcement but does have a thing for Reece and Logan's boss, Lt. Margo. I really enjoyed this book as it had a plot and a hot guy. Some days that is all I need. But this story sucked me in because the heroine was so complicated. She had to be tough because of her job, but also because of the way she was raised; however Dash saw through all that toughness to the woman she was underneath. He also is a pretty Alpha guy and knew how to handle Margo with kid gloves.

Enjoyed the plot and always enjoy Ms. Foster's writing. I am looking forward to the spin off series featuring Cannon. Loved the SBC series from before and can't wait to revisit that and some MMA.

If you like Lori's books, this will be another on your TBR list. A familiar enjoyable read.
I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this book. I've read all of her other books and this one is now one of my favorites. I enjoyed Dash's laid back but still alpha attitude, he wasn't afraid or intimidated by Margo's alpha personality but understood she needed to learn how to balance her alpha cop personality with her soft loving regular woman personality. Throughout the book, Dash taught her that she didn't have to be strong all the time and it wasn't a weakness to lean on someone sometimes. Lori is a master at pulling off real emotions, in real believable situations that engross you in the story so much that you laugh and cry with the characters and go through the ups and downs with them as well. Dash of Peril is action packed, heartbreaking, romantic, sexy and funny all rolled into one amazing book. I highly recommend this book and any other books Lori Foster has written, you won't be disappointed.
If you enjoy a great deal of erotica in your romance book, this is the one for you. Lieutenant Margaret Peterson is considered a hard-nosed ballbuster in the police department, but only Dash seems to see the woman underneath who happens to enjoy submissive play. And since Dash’s brother Logan is a detective working for Margo, we get some humor as he and his partner, Reese, start seeing their boss in a new light and accept her as being in their inner circle of family.

She’s been working as bait to catch the guys who’ve been grabbing women off the street outside of bars, drugging them and abusing and raping them in their homemade porn videos. They’ve caught on to her and make numerous attempts to take her out.

Dash does a great job of respecting her pride and abilities while teaching her to relax and trust him.

The story involves characters from the prior 3 books, which I enjoy a lot. To me it’s always been the characters that carry these stories. And the situations they confront in this book will definitely keep your attention.

I do have a problem with the amount of explicit sex. While well written and guaranteed to make the reader squirm, I’d prefer a story that didn’t have quite so much of it.
This is the first book of this series I have read. Many of the characters will be familiar to readers of prior stories in the Love Undercover series. This one centers on Dashiel Riske and Lt. Margaret Peterson. Lt. Peterson is the cop who took on corruption in her own department and cleaned house – or so she thought.
Now she is attempting to catch the sickos who have been kidnapping women from her friend Rowdy’s bar, doping them, and then using them in brutal porno videos. The Lt. has been working undercover trying to catch them in the act without success. Then, on her way home from her stake-out one of the perps tries to kill her by T-boning her car on an icy road. If that doesn’t work, he is prepared to shoot her.
Enter Dash Riske. He has been lusting after the Lt. for some time. When she leaves Rowdy’s bar in the middle of the night, he follows her – and witnesses the murder attempt. Seriously hurt in the wreck, she is unable to fight back. Dash takes over, and then insists on helping and protecting her when she is released from the hospital. He also becomes another potential target of the sick criminals, so the Lt. also tries to protect him.
The police procedures and attitudes ring true, as do the interactions between Dash and Margo – Dash’s name for the Lt.) as they spend more time together and develop a very intimate and active sexual relationship. Could it be more?
