The way this 2nd part of the story played out was perfect, with, both, love for a girl and the love for humanity! I can relate to this. I tried it one time; about 6 months and thought that thought through and left in the middle of the night, and said never again. I felt like Alex knowing that pull of combat for the greater good and was willing to live my life in solitude after Government Service. After I was wounded for the 4th time, and it was clear I would be fighting no more, I retired wiling to keep my end of the bargain. Who would know in 2011, when I was getting ready to finally turn my Time of Service Retirement papers in, I met her Lisa, my wife now! I've actually found happiness and peace after all the 30 years of fighting and she helped me come to grips with all the life I had taken in war, again I felt like Alex. This had such a twist of a great ending! I kept thinking come on Alex you're smart, figure it out, I would've done what Willow did for fear of hurting the one I love and that, to me, was the premise of this book; Unconditional Love. Of course, the action, the suspense of this series is overwhelming, I'm a writer now of the Fantasy Genre, usually in can see these things coming, but I didn't see it like that, I love to be surprised by a writer, that's what makes them great, on to the next one, I'll talk to you then...

This book was a firery action packed novel that was full of enscutiating detail and lots of nail biting moments. I loved the characters and the plot of the story, so very unique from other books about Angels. Honestly it was a breath of fresh air from the usual supernatural category. This book was amazing filled with silly moments and also very deep moments that made you stop and think. I have very mnuch loved this book, and I have read it so many times after I finished reading it through, always hunting for some small detail I didn't see the first few times I had read it.
I am greatly impressed by this powerful, compelling sequel to Angel Burn. The author really stepped it up a notch and her talent shines through even brighter as the story of Alex and Willow continues. The surprises, drama and twists are masterfully crafted. We meet new characters who bring a permanent change in the lives of those we already know. Seb is a wonderful, compelling character. Willow grows and becomes a young woman of even stronger conviction than she was before. Mexico City provides a colorful and gritty backdrop to the combined action and personal drama. I felt the pattern of alternating perspectives flowed well and I did not have any trouble following it. (Even though the chapters are not titled with a name to make it clear, as is done in many books currently). The way the action and drama are written just makes them feel so real, almost jumping off the page, like you are there. You hardly want to stop turning the pages to see what happens next. Even the "villanous" angels with malevolent intentions are vivid characters who's viewpoint we are drawn into clearly. Weatherly has her own unique touch with YA love, making Alex and Willow's relationship seem so natural, deep, and unequivocal. I enjoy the way they think of each other, treat each other, and communicate with each other despite the drama and some estrangement that occurs between them in this installment. Overall, I highly recommend this!
Angel Fire was nothing like I imagined. The entire book was filled with conflict, so many twists, turns, waring emotions, sinister plots, and amazing passion I honestly could not but this book down. All of this made this book even more amazing. I could not put this book down. There was never a dull moment while reading Angel Fire.

Characters
Willow and Alex's life are waay more complicated in this story. They are both dealing with a load of discrimination and leadership problems from the other AK's which leaves Willow virtually alone, and Alex extremely stressed. Then enter new hottie half angel Seb. Seb causes a whole set of relationship problems for Alex and Willow. I never thought I would end up loving Seb as much as I loved Alex, but L.A. Weatherly did an amazing job writing him I couldn't help but love him. Willow is also dealing with problems with her angel half. So here life is completely frantic. The other AK's you may or may not end up liking towards the end, but I definitely did not like them most off the book. The Angel's are a lot more sinister in this book, if you can believe that.

This book is amazing. I would highly suggest you pick this book up as soon as possible. I however, would not suggest reading this book before reading Angel Burn. Angel Burn comes first and sets up the world for Angel Fire.
Angel Fire is a bigger book than Angel Burn by almost 200 pages. The paperback version comes out October 23rd if you only like paperback.
Favorite Quote This quote was extremely hard to pick because I had so so many but here it is. I chose this quote because this quote shows that even though their life is harder they still love every part of each other, which is why I fell in love with them as characters in the first place
